free time

It has been so long since I have been out shooting for myself, experimenting, playing with my gear and shooting without pressure, that when the opportunity to go and hang with my little princess presented itself, I jumped at it! Chelsie is very comfortable in her skin, very much a poser, and up for anything I say (except for when I say bed time!).

Here are some of my favourites from our shoot yesterday:

dianne and james

In my effort to catch up on my last years blogging, I bring to you today James and Dianne’s wedding.

Their wedding took place at Main Beach Yamba, on a beautiful sunny day with an on shore wind (quite a strong on shore wind!) This wind whipped around the salt spray in the air an gave their photos a gorgeous glowy feeling.

Dianne wore a gorgeous dress:

Meet Kate and Gary:

They are super dooper nice people who are letting me photograph their wedding in March at the Clarence River Bed and Breakfast. I haven’t had the chance to photograph a wedding there but I’ve checked it all out and the place is stunning! I’m really looking forward to it.

I went to hang out at their place for photos…the place was a dream…old sheds, fences, paddocks and trees!! Photographic heaven!!

Jess and Angus

I am finally blogging some photos of my dear friend and photography assistant Jess’ engagement shoot. Jess has worked with me on quite a few weddings in the past carrying gear, making grumpy children laugh and taking some wonderful photos on the way. Now that it is Jess’ turn to be the bride I have been given the privilege of being her photographer!! Very cool!

Their engagement shoot was an absolute riot. We took the photographs up at Wave Hill Station near Fineflower. As my assistants I had my 6 and 7 year old girls who thought it their job to make Jess and Angus laugh through the entire sitting.

In this next photo Jess is laughing and I’m sure Angus is wondering what he is in for:

Thought I’d throw in a scenery shot for good measure. I think my girls were chasing the cows. I don’t think the cows cared!

It’s ok Angus…not much longer! We are having fun!!

Last shot… Love this one of them chilling out on the deck!

Can’t wait to catch up with you both soon!

Until next time,

in loving hands

It was such a pleasure to photograph such an import part of Nardeen and Pete’s life….the birth of their first son!

We started with a maternity photo shoot for Nardeen and and Pete, soon  followed up by a Newborn Session of the gorgeous little baby Kai!

img_0081_nardeen_november-11-20081

I just love this pregnancy photo…it just says to me that this baby is so loved, nurtured, protected and safe.

Below we have the beautiful Kai…..I get broody just looking at him! Then I remember I have 2 daughters and my partner has 3 sons….broodiness stops.

img_0034_kai_29012009bw

Then it starts again. He’s just so cute. And peaceful.

img_0060_kai_29012009

I don’t know how Nardeen gets anything done in a day…just look at that face. How could you focus on anything else?

img_0007_kai_29012009

Except maybe the wrinkles….oooh bubba, it’s a tough life!

img_0019_kai_29012009bw

Maybe the teeny tiny feet…..

img_0013_kai_29012009bw

Sorry, I digress….back to the topic ‘in loving hands’

By the way, I must say thank you to Liza for he lovely job on Nardeens nails. They photographed beautifully!

I love this one in colour…just so warm:img_0053_kai_29012009

And now, the very proud parents:
