a free fun new photo toy: shape collages program

I spend waaay too much time reading other photographers blogs and hanging around on the internet. I guess it’s just something that I love doing. There is just so much awesome stuff out there….

Today, I stumbled across a really cool free program that I wanted to share with you all. It is an independent program that makes quick collages from your programs in a custom shape. You can then save the collage as a PSD and edit it in photoshop later.

I created this wedding heart within a few minutes…

The collage maker selected 150 of the 400 odd shots from Kate and Gary’s wedding a few weeks ago and threw together this collage. You can make collages any shape you like.

Meet the Johnsons! We had a fun afternoon hanging out at Brooms Head a few weeks ago and while we were there snapped these shots.

mitchy and jack (the portraits and reception)

Too be quite honest, I just don’t know where to start and which photos to blog….there are just so many I love!

We’ll start by the pool with a nice classic shot:

After the beach we all piled into the cars and went out to the river:

Some of the details from the wedding; Decorating was done by Fabulous Functions and the cake by Mrs Muggo…the best caker EVER!

This ones a bit blurrier than I would like, but I love the shot and the colour so I’m including it!

Mitch, Jack and I put together a Crazy Photo Booth…it was the first time I had done one of these, basically we set it up and then all the guests took the photos on Mitch’s camera…the results are hilarious! This is one I snapped off the bride and groom:

mitchy and jack

Mitchy and Jacks wedding was one wedding I had been seriously looking forward to, one of the reasons was the fact that is was my first wedding for 2009 and the other is that I have known Mitchy since I was about 5 (that I can remember!).

Mitch is a graphic artist so I felt slightly pressured shooting for someone who knew what they were doing also, but I think that the pressure was a good thing and after a while I slipped into my rhythm and all was good.

Anthony (my assistant, fiance and biggest fan) and I visited the boys first off to see how they were going. This was Anthony’s second time shooting and he got one shot in particular that I would be proud to call my own (well, maybe I could if I could change the metadata in the photo!)

Here’s how the day started:

A bit of last minute tweaking and we were good to go:

Then we headed out to the girls, preparations were going smoothly so  I had plenty of time to catch detail shots. Mitchy’s dress was just beyond stunning:

There was a plain blue wall in the house which lent itself nicely to some studio style portraits:

We also had time to sneak on some outdoors photos:

The ceremony was held at Main Beach in Yamba and officiated by Christine Preston, Marriage Celebrant

a family get together

Sometimes it’s hard to get all the family together, but when you do, it’s a great opportunity for a photograph! I hung out with this very fun family at the Angourie Rainforest Resort for an afternoon…see below for the results;
